Castana / Viaggio
Vincent Castana was born in 1883; he emigrated from Adrano, Italy on the Italia. He married Mary Rollo in 1912; they had five children, four girls and one boy. In 1923 Salvatore Viaggio emigrated from Adrano, Italy on board the Conte Rosso. Salvatore would visit the Castana’s, and some sixteen years later in 1938 he would marry Josephine Castana. They had two children Josephine Ann (Jo-Ann) was born May 15th 1940 and Mary Jane December 9th 1944.
Jo-Ann married Karl William Grunewald on August 22 1959 and they had five children born between 1961 and 1976. Mary Jane married William Ames Hayes on September 16th 1973. Sal and Jo were blessed with twelve grandchildren.
