August 22, 1959 Karl W. Grunewald was married to JoAnn Viaggio in St. Kevin’s RC Church in N.Y. Karl was stationed at Turner A.F. Base in Albany , Georgia, that would be their first home until his discharge in 1960 at which time they returned to N.Y. On February 6, 1961 the first of five children were born, Teresa Ann, and the family grew Robert Karl was born June 1962, Sherri Ann was born October 1963 and John Karl was born February 6, 1967. In 1976 Matthew Karl was born.
